Gli Psychos nascono a Siena nel gennaio 2010 da un'idea di Andy Romi, chitarrista, autore e produttore che nel tempo diventa il fulcro sonoro del progetto, alternandosi tra chitarre e tastiere e assumendo la voce solista. La prima formazione vede Manuel Conti alla seconda chitarra, Giulio Bizzarri al basso e Luca Di Stefano alla batteria: nei primi mesi l'attività live cresce rapidamente e porta alla pubblicazione dell'esordio autoprodotto "Ricordi", sei brani che definiscono l'identità della band tra hard rock e progressive. Negli anni successivi il gruppo attraversa cambi di line-up e un'evoluzione strumentale che spinge le composizioni verso intrecci più complessi e una scrittura sempre più legata alla scuola rock anni Settanta. Da questa fase nasce il secondo album autoprodotto "Sol#", accolto con riscontri positivi da critica e pubblico. Nel 2015 arriva "Dritto al Cuore", disco di tredici tracce registrato da Andy Romi nel proprio studio e mixato/masterizzato al Narada Studio; la promozione e i nuovi assestamenti interni rallentano però la continuità del progetto, fino a una fase di pausa e ripartenza. La pandemia interrompe le lavorazioni del quarto lavoro e coincide con un passaggio decisivo: Andy Romi concentra energie e competenze sulla produzione, realizza e struttura lo Psychotic Studio, si forma sullo standard Avid/Pro Tools e ottiene la certificazione Avid, affiancando all'attività artistica quella di fonico e producer. Con il ritorno del batterista fondatore Luca Di Stefano, dalla fine del 2022 gli Psychos avviano un nuovo ciclo discografico: pubblicano il singolo "Not Another Christmas Song" e completano in pochi mesi "Look Into Your Soul", distribuito da Lotus Music Production sulle piattaforme digitali. Nell'estate 2024 la promozione del disco porta la band anche su testate internazionali, tra cui la britannica PowerPlay Magazine. Oggi gli Psychos stanno lavorando a un nuovo concept album, un percorso che conferma la doppia anima del progetto, scrittura rock e visione produttiva, con Andy Romi alla guida creativa e tecnica dell'intero impianto sonoro.
