Heard you were hangin' around
Heard you're askin' about me
Boy, i never thought i'd see your face again
Well let the sentiments fall where they may
'cause i'm too tired to cry or even care
If you would have been around
Then maybe i would be around
But i'll be ok
Yes, i'll be ok
I admit that at times it wasn't fair
The times you were alone 'cause i wasn't there
Do you remember all the times we had?
All i can recall was being sad
It's been two years since we were together
Sure, we had some good times
We shared a milkshake, we shared some fries
And i thought you weren't
Like all those other guys
You said you're coming over
It's a quarter after two
You know what you are?
You're just a flake-o on my scalp-o!
The Halo Friendlies are an all-girl pop-punk band from Long Beach, California. The band was formed in 1998 by Judita Wignall, who after borrowing a guitar on a date with her future husband Matt Wignall (member of Havalina/Matt Death and the New Intellectuals), decided to start a band. Their 1998 self-titled debut album featured Wignall on lead vocals and guitar, Cheryl Hecht on guitar, Natalie Bolanos on bass guitar, and Deanna Moody on drums. In 1999, with the album *Acid Wash*, Hecht left the group to be replaced by Ginger Reyes, who joined Wignall in sharing lead vocals and took over bass guitar, allowing Bolanos to switch to lead guitar. In 2000 Christina Theobald/Hock joined the band as drummer, but was soon replaced by Claudia Rossi (ex-Jack Off Jill) before their UK tour in 2003. Some of their most representative songs include *The Halo Friendlies*, *Acid Wash* and *Sugar*.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
