Claudio Cecchetto (Milan, 1952) is an Italian record producer, radio and television host. Considered one of the pioneers of Italian pop music in the 1980s, he discovered and launched artists such as Sabrina Salerno, Jo Squillo and Pooh. He began his career as a DJ at a local Milanese radio station, before moving on to hosting musical television programs like "Ciao Ragazzi" and "Supergulp!" During the 1980s, Cecchetto founded his own record label, Cecchetto Records, which launched numerous hits. In 1992 he won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "La voce del silenzio" performed by Mia Martini. Besides music, Cecchetto has also ventured into other fields such as writing and entrepreneurship. Among his most representative songs: "Boys (Summertime Love)" by Sabrina Salerno, "Take Me Away" by Jo Squillo, "Il cielo in una stanza" by Pooh.
