Bungaro è un cantautore italiano nato a Roma nel 1958. Con una carriera di oltre trent'anni, ha lasciato il segno nella musica italiana con la sua eleganza e maestria musicale. Nel 1988 esordisce al Festival di Sanremo con "Sarà forte". Nel 1991 torna sul palco dell'Ariston in trio con Conidi e Di Bella con il brano "E noi qui". Nel 2004 vince il Premio Volare per la Miglior canzone al Festival di Sanremo con "Guardastelle", che riceve anche il Premio Lunezia nel 2010 come miglior disco. Nel 2015 partecipa all'iniziativa della rivista Musica Jazz in ricordo di Sergio Endrigo, interpretando "Dal destino infortunato", ultimo testo inedito di Sergio Endrigo musicato dallo stesso Bungaro. Nel 2018 è al Festival di Sanremo con Ornella Vanoni e Pacifico con il brano "Imparare ad amarsi", di cui è co-autore della musica e del testo, vincendo il Premio "Sergio Endrigo" per la migliore interpretazione e il Baglioni d'Oro per la miglior canzone. Nel 2019 torna sul palco dell'Ariston come ospite, in duetto con Francesco Renga con il brano "Aspetto che torni", di cui è autore. Bungaro ha collaborato con artisti internazionali come Jacques Morelenbaum, Guinga, Omar Sosa e Ivan Lins. Ha anche firmato colonne sonore per film di successo come "Perfetti sconosciuti". La sua musica è apprezzata per la raffinatezza e l'originalità, caratterizzata da testi poetici e melodie evocative.
