Bungaro is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Rome in 1958. With a career spanning over thirty years, he has made his mark on Italian music with his elegance and musical mastery. In 1988, he debuted at the Sanremo Music Festival with "Sarà forte". In 1991, he returned to the Ariston stage as part of a trio with Conidi and Di Bella with the song "E noi qui". In 2004, he won the Premio Volare for Best Song at the Sanremo Music Festival with "Guardastelle", which also received the Lunezia Prize in 2010 as best album. In 2015, he participated in the initiative of the Musica Jazz magazine in memory of Sergio Endrigo, performing "Dal destino infortunato", the last unpublished text by Sergio Endrigo set to music by Bungaro himself. In 2018, he performed at the Sanremo Music Festival with Ornella Vanoni and Pacifico with the song "Imparare ad amarsi", co-authoring both the music and lyrics, winning the "Sergio Endrigo" Award for best performance and the Baglioni d'Oro for best song. In 2019, he returned to the Ariston stage as a guest, performing a duet with Francesco Renga on the song "Aspetto che torni", which he wrote. Bungaro has collaborated with international artists such as Jacques Morelenbaum, Guinga, Omar Sosa and Ivan Lins. He has also composed soundtracks for successful films like "Perfetti sconosciuti". His music is appreciated for its refinement and originality, characterized by poetic lyrics and evocative melodies.
