Yves Montand, stage name of Ivo Livi (Marseille, October 13, 1921 – Paris, November 9, 1991), was an Italian-born French singer and actor. Considered one of the greatest interpreters of French chanson in the 20th century, Montand combined vocal power with a deep interpretive sensibility.
