Ikara Colt erano un gruppo rock sperimentale formatosi a Londra nel 1999 da studenti di arte dell'Università Guildhall. La band, composta da quattro elementi, ha avuto una carriera di cinque anni che si è conclusa il 17 gennaio 2005. Nel corso della loro breve esistenza hanno pubblicato due album e un EP. Ikara Colt dichiararono in diverse interviste la volontà di sciogliersi prima di diventare «un gruppo vecchio, stanco e sbiadito», motivando così la decisione di interromperne l'attività dopo soli due dischi e un EP. In Gran Bretagna erano sotto contratto con l'etichetta indipendente Fantastic Plastic Records, mentre Epitaph si occupava della distribuzione dei loro album negli Stati Uniti.
