Ikara Colt were an art-rock band formed in London in 1999 by art students from the Guildhall University. The four-piece group had a five-year career that ended on January 17, 2005. During their short existence, they released two albums and one EP. Ikara Colt stated in several interviews their intention to disband before becoming «an old, tired and jaded outfit», thus justifying the decision to end their activity after only two albums and an EP. In Britain, they were signed to the independent label Fantastic Plastic Records, while Epitaph handled the distribution of their records in America.
