William Thomas Ward, known as Bill Ward, is a British drummer and composer born on May 5, 1948, in Staffordshire, England. He is one of the four founding members of the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath, with whom he helped define the genre in the 1970s. Ward played with Black Sabbath until 1980, participating in fundamental albums such as "Paranoid", "Master of Reality" and "Vol. 4".
