Gianluca John Attanasio è un artista poliedrico italiano, attivo come cantautore, compositore, produttore discografico, sceneggiatore, regista, fotografo e giornalista. Specializzato in pianoforte e composizione moderni presso il "Laboratorio musicale Walter Savelli" di Firenze, ha pubblicato diversi album CD dal 1989 con etichette come Aliante / Time music (Sergio Cammariere), Warner / Chappell Music e EMI. Oltre alla musica, Attanasio si è cimentato nella scrittura di colonne sonore per la televisione, cortometraggi e teatro, collaborando con nomi importanti del panorama musicale italiano e internazionale come Mike Applebaum (Zucchero), Geoff Westley (Lucio Battisti, Riccardo Cocciante, Bee Gees), Renato Serio (Renato Zero), Susanne Hahn, Roberto Guarino (Samuele Bersani, Loredana Bertè), Kathleen Hagen (Mario Biondi) e Walter Savelli (Claudio Baglioni). Nel 1998 ha aperto il concerto di Claudio Baglioni allo Stadio Olimpico di Roma con altri musicisti italiani. Nel 2005 ha fondato il progetto musicale "Harmonia" con i fratelli Aldo e Roberto Gemma e l'attrice francese Martin Brochard come cantante. Nel 2007 ha vinto il Premio Teatro ?Fondi La Pastora? per la migliore musica in "AK-47", brano di Daniele Scattina e Claudio De Santis. Tra le sue opere, ricordiamo il cortometraggio "Last song", scritto con Kathleen Hagen, e l'album "Soul of the ocean" contenente 24 colonne sonore. Nel 2012 è stato invitato all'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Parigi per tenere un masterclass sul rapporto tra musica e immagini nei film, nella danza e nel teatro. Attanasio ha anche lavorato come giornalista per tabloid nazionali italiani e riviste internazionali specializzate in musica e critica teatrale.
