Umberto Rosario Balsamo (1962) is an Italian composer and singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Palermo, he started his musical journey at a young age, studying piano and guitar. He began his career in the 1980s as a studio musician, collaborating with various Italian artists. In 1993, he released his debut album, "Umberto Balsamo", which achieved moderate success. Over the years, he has composed soundtracks for films and theater, as well as writing songs for other artists. Among his most notable tracks are "La mia vita" and "Un giorno di sole".
