Vercingetorige è il progetto solista di Daniele Ripanucci, originario di San Benedetto del Tronto (AP) classe 1984. Dopo aver conseguito la laurea magistrale in filosofia a Perugia, dove si trasferì per gli studi, inizia a muovere i primi passi nel mondo musicale suonando nei piccoli locali del capoluogo umbro. Nel 2012 forma La Madonna di MezzaStrada, band post rock cantautorale con cui pubblica tre album: *Cantiche* (2012), *Lebenswelt* (2014) e *Crono* (2017). Nel 2019, insieme a Daniele Rotella, apre La Cura Dischi, uno studio di registrazione attivo a Perugia. È proprio in questo contesto che nasce il progetto solista Vercingetorige, pubblicato il 15 marzo 2022 per La Cura Dischi. Le canzoni sono state scritte e registrate negli ultimi quattro anni. La musica di Vercingetorige ruota attorno ai testi, estremamente sperimentali, che rappresentano il germe e il fuoco del lavoro. È un ibrido di elettronica e musica suonata che rompe con la tradizione della forma canzone convenzionale. La musica è sempre funzionale alle parole, adagiandosi su di esse come a proteggerle. Ripanucci vive attualmente ad Atene dove lavora come insegnante, dividendosi tra Perugia e la capitale ellenica in attesa di preparare un live che possa rendere fede al suo ultimo lavoro nel prossimo autunno.
