Vercingetorige is the solo project of Daniele Ripanucci, originally from San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), born in 1984. After graduating with a master's degree in philosophy in Perugia, where he moved for his studies, he began to take his first steps in the music world by playing in small venues in the Umbrian capital. In 2012, he formed La Madonna di MezzaStrada, a post-rock cantautor band with whom he released three albums: *Cantiche* (2012), *Lebenswelt* (2014) and *Crono* (2017). In 2019, together with Daniele Rotella, he opened La Cura Dischi, an active recording studio in Perugia. It is precisely in this context that the Vercingetorige solo project was born, released on March 15, 2022 for La Cura Dischi. The songs were written and recorded over the last four years. Vercingetorige's music revolves around the lyrics, which are extremely experimental and represent the germ and fire of the work. It is a hybrid of electronics and played music that breaks with the tradition of the conventional song form. The music is always functional to the words, settling on them as if to protect them. Ripanucci currently lives in Athens where he works as a teacher, dividing his time between Perugia and the Greek capital awaiting the preparation of a live show that can give life to his latest work in the coming autumn.
