Slow down lately lives are moving too fast
Put your money down and we'll make it last
By dawn we'll be out of here.
The marching band play for the families through the streets, beautiful symphonies.
Let's walk through the park while the trees are still there.
And the midnight choir they sing
They sing a hymn
We used to believe ??
Aaaaahhhh
But it's all we've got
I've found a job and I'm gonna hold this one down.
I was a burden to everyone when I was young and far from home
But now you're home cos you cant run forever
The old parade stumble together
The drinks last all on them
And the midnight choir they sing
They sing a hymn
We used to believe in ??
But its all we've got.
I don't know what I'd do
I don't know what I'd do
You're all I've ever known.
But if something should come between us
Oh if something should come between us
And the midnight choir they sing
They sing a hymn we used to believe in
But it's all we've got.
The Thrills were an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 2001. The group, founded by singer Conor Deasy and guitarist Daniel Ryan, also included Padraic McMahon (guitar and bass), Kevin Horan (piano) and Ben Carrigan (drums). Their debut album, *So Much For The City* (2003), achieved great success in Ireland, topping the charts, and in the United Kingdom, where it reached number three. The single released from the album, *Big Sur*, helped launch the band onto the international music scene. MTV.com described their sound as a blend of classic American pop from the 1960s and 1970s with a contemporary touch. Among the band's most representative songs are also *Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far)*, *Whatever Happened To The City* and *One Horse Town*. After several albums and international tours, The Thrills disbanded in 2010.
