Kenny Rogers (Kenneth Donald Rogers), born August 21, 1938, in Houston, Texas, was a legendary American artist best known for his career in country music. After starting as a rhythm and blues singer in the 1950s, Rogers found success with The First Edition in the 1960s, achieving hits like "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town". In 1976, he launched his solo career, reaching international fame with albums such as "The Gambler" (1978) and "Share Your Love with Me" (1980).
