Paolo Conte (Asti, 1937) è un cantautore, compositore e polistrumentista italiano di fama internazionale. Dopo aver studiato giurisprudenza e lavorato come avvocato, si dedicò alla musica negli anni '60, inizialmente collaborando con artisti come Gino Paoli e Mina. Il suo stile musicale, caratterizzato da arrangiamenti jazzistici, melodie raffinate e testi poetici e ironici, lo ha consacrato come uno dei cantautori più originali e apprezzati della scena italiana. Tra i suoi brani più celebri figurano "Azzurro", "Sogna", "Via con me" e "Genova lirica".
