Misery Index is an American deathgrind band formed in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2001. The founding members were Jason Netherton (vocals and bass), Mike Harrison (vocals and guitar), and Kevin Talley (drums). Since 2006, the current lineup has consisted of Netherton (vocals and bass), Sparky Voyles (guitar), Mark Kloeppel (vocals and guitar), and Adam Jarvis (drums). The band is known for its brutal and aggressive sound, characterized by fast and distorted guitar riffs, relentless blast beats, and dark and provocative lyrics. Some of their most representative tracks include "The Killing Floor", "Condemned to Rot" and "Blood and Iron".
