The Circle Jerks are an American hardcore punk band formed in late 1970s in Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles. Founded by former Black Flag vocalist Keith Morris, the group quickly gained popularity in the Californian scene and on alternative radio thanks to their nihilistic irony and energetic live performances, often marked by explosive violence. Among their most representative songs are "I Don't Care", "Wild in the Streets" and "Golden Brown". Their debut album, "Group Sex", released in 1980, is considered a classic of the hardcore punk genre. The Circle Jerks have influenced numerous subsequent bands and continue to be active today.
