Maria Antonietta (Maria Antonia Giuseppa Giovanna d'Asburgo-Lorena; Vienna, 2 novembre 1755 – Parigi, 16 ottobre 1793) è stata la regina consorte di Francia e Navarra dal 10 maggio 1774 al 1º ottobre 1791, e regina dei Francesi dal 1º ottobre 1791 al 21 settembre 1792, come moglie di Luigi XVI. Nata in Austria, era figlia dell'imperatore Francesco I e della imperatrice Maria Teresa d'Austria. La sua ascesa al trono francese fu segnata da un matrimonio politico con il re Luigi XVI, finalizzato a rafforzare l'alleanza tra Francia e Austria. Durante il suo regno, Maria Antonietta si distinse per la sua eleganza e il suo stile di vita lussuoso, che però contribuì ad alimentare le tensioni sociali in Francia.
