Basement Jaxx is a British electronic music duo formed by Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton in the 1990s. Initially known for hosting a popular club night in London, they went on to produce their own music, releasing their debut album *Remedy* in 1999. The album was an immediate success, with singles «Red Alert» and «Rendez-Vu» reaching the top five of the UK charts.
