I Cani sono un progetto musicale nato dall'estro creativo di Niccolò Contessa, cantautore e produttore romano. Contessa, classe 1987, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '00 con collaborazioni in ambito indie rock. Nel 2013 ha dato vita a I Cani, un progetto che lo vede protagonista come autore, interprete e produttore di brani caratterizzati da atmosfere malinconiche e testi introspettivi. Il suo sound è una miscela di folk, cantautorato italiano e influenze indie rock, con un'attenzione particolare all'uso di strumenti acustici e arrangiamenti minimalisti. I Cani hanno riscosso un notevole successo in Italia, pubblicando album come "L'amore è un'arma" (2014) e "Il cielo è una porta" (2017), che hanno conquistato le classifiche musicali e il pubblico.
