Franco Califano (Rome, July 8, 1939 – Rome, August 14, 2013) was an Italian singer-songwriter and actor. His music was influenced by artists like Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. Califano was a controversial artist, known for his political and social positions. His music often addressed themes of protest and social denunciation. He died in Rome in 2013 at the age of 74.
