The Classic Crime is a post-hardcore band from Seattle, Washington. Active since 2003, the group has released several albums under Tooth and Nail Records. The current lineup includes Matt MacDonald (vocals, guitar), Alan Clark (bass), Robert "Cheeze" Negrin (guitar), Paul "Skip" Erickson (drums, vocals) and Justin DuQue (guitar, vocals). The Classic Crime is known for its emotional and melodic sound, influenced by post-hardcore, emo and alternative rock. Among the most representative songs are "The Ballad of the Brokenhearted", "The Last Time I Saw You" and "A Thousand Years".
