Johnny Reid is a Scottish-Canadian singer-songwriter, born on August 21, 1974, in Lanark. He moved to Canada at the age of thirteen with his family. After attending Bishop's University in Sherbrooke, Quebec, where he met his wife and played on the varsity football team, Reid dedicated himself to country music. He achieved several chart successes in Canada, including the single "Kicking Stones", for which he was nominated for the Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year in 2008.
