Johnny Reid è un cantautore scozzese naturalizzato canadese, nato il 21 agosto 1974 a Lanark. Si è trasferito in Canada all'età di tredici anni con la famiglia. Dopo aver frequentato l'Università Bishop's a Sherbrooke, Quebec, dove ha conosciuto sua moglie e ha giocato nel team di football universitario, Reid si è dedicato alla musica country.
