Crime in Stereo è una band di melodic hardcore originaria di Long Island. Il loro sound ricorda artisti come Dag Nasty, Brand New e Lifetime. Il loro debutto discografico è stato un split con la band newyorkese Kill Your Idols, pubblicato nel 2003 su Blackout! Records. Nel 2004 hanno rilasciato il loro primo album in studio, *Explosives and the Will to Use Them*, in collaborazione con Brightside Records, che ha ricevuto ottime recensioni da parte di diversi siti web dedicati al punk rock. A causa di divergenze con l'etichetta, la band si è trasferita a Nitro Records, posseduta da Dexter Holland dei The Offspring, nel 2005.
