Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Formed in 2007, the group gained popularity for their aggressive and technical music, characterized by distorted riffs, guttural growls, and fast blast beats. The band's name derives from a torture practice known as the "Glasgow smile", a cut that creates an expression resembling a smile. Chelsea Grin has released six studio albums, including the acclaimed "Desolation of Eden" (2013) and "Self Inflicted" (2016). Some of their most representative tracks include "Crew Cab Hellraiser", "The Exorcist", and "My Damnation". Chelsea Grin's sound has influenced several emerging deathcore bands, contributing to defining the genre in the 2010s.
