Skinnyman, born Alex Holland in 1974 in Leeds, Yorkshire, is a British rapper known for his raw and introspective style. He moved to Finsbury Park, London at a young age and formed the group Mud Family with Mongo and Chester P (now of Task Force). The group released several EPs, including "Itchy Town" and "Lash Suttin", a rework of Redman's "Smash Something". In 2004 Skinnyman released his debut solo album, "Council Estate of Mind", a work that solidified his reputation as one of the most original and talented rappers in the British scene.
