Joey Defeat è un cantante, musicista e autore italiano nato a Bologna il 9 maggio 1995. Inizia il suo percorso musicale all'età di 13 anni come chitarrista in piccoli gruppi, appassionandosi al canto come seconda voce. La musica diventa per lui una valvola di sfogo dalla quotidianità, un rifugio nelle notti fredde e un elemento fondamentale della sua vita fin dall'infanzia. Nel marzo 2023 esce la sua prima cover, "Lithium" dei Nirvana, seguita un anno dopo dal suo primo inedito, "Falling", un brano metalcore che rappresenta al meglio il suo stile musicale, pur non ama definirsi in un genere specifico. Nel 2024 lancia in radio "Resti uno schianto", seguito da "Come si vive", una riflessione sui problemi di un figlio cresciuto senza un genitore. Con "Porte Chiuse" affronta l'attuale stato dei rapporti umani e a conclusione dell'anno pubblica "Da quando non ci sei più", un brano che offre forza a chi deve superare le avversità. Nel 2025 continua a lavorare sul suo EP, rilasciando a gennaio il singolo "Una cura che non c'è", un invito ad accettare le proprie vulnerabilità e utilizzarle come punto di partenza per costruire un futuro migliore.
