Joey Defeat is an Italian singer, musician, and songwriter born in Bologna on May 9, 1995. He began his musical journey at the age of 13 as a guitarist in small groups, developing a passion for singing as a backing vocalist. Music became for him a release from everyday life, a refuge in cold nights, and an essential element of his life since childhood. In March 2023, his first cover, "Lithium" by Nirvana, was released, followed a year later by his debut original song, "Falling", a metalcore track that best represents his musical style, although he avoids defining himself within a specific genre. In 2024, he launched "Resti uno schianto" on the radio, followed by "Come si vive", a reflection on the problems of a child growing up without a parent. With "Porte Chiuse", he tackles the current state of human relationships and concludes the year with "Da quando non ci sei più", a song that offers strength to those who must overcome life's adversities.
