UMMO is an Italian musical group formed in December 2012 by singer and songwriter Cristiano Romanelli. The project, which includes Federico Di Simone (drums), Gregory Coniglio (bass) and Cristian Sorrenti (guitar), aims to blend various music genres to create a unique sound. Their self-titled debut album, released on December 25, 2014, marks the beginning of the CONTACT TOUR 2015, which takes them to perform in squares and clubs throughout Italy. The success of the singles "DESTINO" and "MALINCONIA" precedes the release of "SINDROME", their third radio single in January 2016. In the same year, UMMO participates in the MANICOMIO TOUR and opens for Italian rocker Pino Scotto with the Rocky Horror. In November 2016, they begin a collaboration with conductor Maria Gabriella Ciaffarini and the Sinergie D'arte orchestral ensemble, who reinterpret UMMO's songs in a classical style during the "Barock" baroque festival. This experiment gives birth to the 413.44 MHZ TOUR project. In 2017, UMMO participates in ESTATICA with a classical music orchestra and the Le Voci Del Borgo polyphonic choir for a sold-out show. The band is selected for the final of the thirtieth edition of Sanremo Rock in May of the same year and releases the single "CONSUMAMI" in July. In September 2017, they record their second album at Busker Studio with '90s rock sounds, while maintaining the electronic vein that characterizes them. The PLASTICA TOUR begins in January 2018, followed by the release of the single "PLASTICA" in July of the same year. In September and October 2018, UMMO embarks on their first European tour with ten dates in Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. In 2019 they win AREZZO WAVE as the best band in the Abruzzo region and release "COME UN ALIENO". They participate in the national final of SUD WAVE in November of the same year. In June 2020, the single "BLU" is released, followed by the release of the new single "GODIMI" on June 11, 2021, distributed by Universal Music.
