Jey è lo pseudonimo di Jennifer Turri, soprano faentina classe 1998. Dopo la formazione al Conservatorio Rossini di Pesaro (PU), dove si laurea in Canto Lirico con lode, si specializza all'Accademia Lirica di Osimo (AN). Ha cantato nei cori del Rossini Opera Festival, del Teatro della Fortuna di Fano, del Teatro Ventidio Basso di Ascoli Piceno e nel Coro Cherubini, diretto dal Maestro Riccardo Muti. Ha approfondito la tecnica con masterclass di rilievo, tra cui quella con il tenore José Carreras, e nel 2021 riceve il prestigioso Premio Maria Callas all'Arena di Verona per il talento vocale dimostrato nel panorama lirico italiano. Parallelamente al canto lirico, Jey nutre una passione per la musica rap e le sonorità urban e black. Si è già affacciata al mondo dell'Hip-Hop partecipando a manifestazioni e collaborando con artisti affermati. Il suo stile è un dualismo che attraversa ogni aspetto: dalle rime incisive alle suggestive linee vocali, che si alternano ai testi che cavalcano i ritmi del rap. Il singolo "Echi d'ombra" racconta una realtà in cui l'uomo si smarrisce tra apparenza, violenza e vuoto. La fusione tra rap e lirica amplifica questo contrasto: da un lato la denuncia cruda del reale, dall'altro una dimensione spirituale che tenta di dare senso al dolore. Il brano è accompagnato dal videoclip diretto da Davide Matterazzo, costruito su uno spazio essenziale e simbolico. Il singolo anticipa il primo EP di Jey, in uscita il 22 maggio: un progetto crossover che mescola lirica, rap, rock, pop urbano, trap e reggaeton.
