Mr Papel, whose real name is Marco Melani, is a multi-instrumentalist musician and singer-songwriter from Rome. He began studying classical piano at a young age, which deeply influenced his musical path. Alongside music, he worked as a theater sound engineer, collaborating with various touring companies and composing soundtracks that earned him awards and recognition in several festivals. Born in Rome but cosmopolitan by nature, he lived in Buenos Aires, London, Paris, New York, and Warsaw, enriching his cultural and artistic background. A graduate in Architecture, he found inspiration in the forms and structures of the places he visited, creating a unique aesthetic connection between music and architecture. Founder and frontman of Papel, an alternative rock band with diverse influences (Radiohead, Cure, Smiths, Sigur Ros), after numerous live performances in Italy and abroad, he opened for international bands like Pete and the Pirates (now Teleman) and Love is all. In 2019, he decided to embark on a solo career, releasing the single "Ricordi che non ho", which paved the way for his debut EP produced by Mob Studios and PaKo Music Records.
