Arrivo via Londonio… non c’è più la casa. Ho sbagliato strada, fammi vedere: 24, 26… maledizione manca il 28! Non c’è più la casa, ho perso la casa. Dove l’ho messa?
Vediamo un po’, sono andato al cinema, un bidone tra l’altro… in macchina no, non posso averla persa, la lascio sempre lì. Dove l’ho messa?
Io sono sempre stato un po’ disordinato
ma la mia casa non è mica un orecchino,
a questo punto sono molto preoccupato
un uomo senza casa è un po’ un casino.
Me lo dice sempre la mia mamma che sono disordinato, ha ragione, ha ragione la mamma… a proposito la mamma… dove l’ho messa?
Ho perso anche la mamma, possibile? Devo far la denuncia eh. Sì tanto i carabinieri le mamme non le trovano mai. Non era neanche assicurata, però la chiudo sempre eh! Peccato, ma non tanto per il valore, è che era un ricordo!

che lasci al bar e te lo fregano gli amici,
io non vorrei che lei giocasse a nascondino,
un uomo senza mamma è un po’ "De Amicis".
Bisogna che la ritrovi la mia mamma e anche la mia casa, tutto, essendo loro un qualche cosa di solido, qualcosa che mi assomigli, qualcosa per sentirti bene, per sentirti giusto, per sentirti sicuro in questa nostra bella Terra, un questa nostra bella Italia. Italia… dove l’ho messa?
Ho perso anche l’Italia, possibile? L’Italia di Mazzini, di Cavour, dei nostri martiri, degli invalidi senza gambe senza braccia, l’Inno di Mameli, il tricolore che sventola.
E’ duro rendersi conto che si sia dissolta così al vento ‘PUM’ come una scoreggia!
Sì, si capiva che era una situazione che da un momento all’altro… voglio dire in un certo senso ce lo aspettavamo.
Però al momento ti fa sempre un certo effetto,
per molta gente è stato un colpo troppo duro,
siamo rimasti proprio orfani di tutto,
un uomo senza Italia…
un uomo senza casa…
senza mamma, senza famiglia, senza storia, senza ideologia, senza capi, senza esercito, senza Chiesa, senza clero, uh…
un uomo senza niente è più leggero!
Giorgio Gaber (pseudonym of Giorgio Gaberscik; 1937-2000) was an Italian singer-songwriter, playwright, actor, cabaret artist, guitarist and theatre director, considered one of the most important artists in Italian entertainment and music since the Second World War. Born in Milan to a family of Slovene origin, Gaber approached music at a young age, performing in Milanese venues and collaborating with some jazz musicians. In 1960 he debuted as a singer-songwriter at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Il mio nome è", achieving modest success. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Gaber established himself as one of the most original and innovative singer-songwriters on the Italian scene, characterized by committed lyrics and experimental musicality. He collaborated with various artists, including Enzo Jannacci and Gino Paoli, and participated in numerous music festivals. Among his most representative songs are "La canzone del sole", "Il mio amico", "L'uomo che non c'è" and "Non ho paura". Gaber also dedicated himself to theatre direction, staging both his own works and those of other authors. His artistic career was marked by a strong social and political commitment, expressed through his songs and theatrical performances. Giorgio Gaber died in Milan in 2000 at the age of 63.
