Steve Aoki (born Steve Hiroyuki Aoki on November 30, 1977) is an American DJ and record producer of Japanese descent. Known for his energetic and eccentric style, Aoki has achieved international fame with his remixes of pop and dance tracks. Founder of the Dim Mak Records label in 2005, he has helped launch the careers of numerous EDM artists. Besides music production, Aoki is famous for his spectacular live performances, characterized by acrobatics, fireworks, and the use of a mobile stage. Among his most representative songs are "Rage It Up", "Delirious" (with Angger Dimas) and "Waste It On Me" (with BTS). Aoki has collaborated with artists from different generations, including Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg and Fall Out Boy. His music is characterized by a mix of electro house, dubstep and trance, also influenced by Japanese culture.
