Overcoma è un progetto musicale nato nel 2015 dall'idea del fondatore, autore e voce Salvo Alfieri. Il gruppo si distingue per la sperimentazione sonora, attingendo alle sonorità degli anni '90 e anticipando il movimento del chaotic rock nella scena musicale italiana. Il primo lavoro, l'EP "Overcoma", è stato pubblicato nel gennaio 2016. Nel corso del 2016, Overcoma si fa conoscere nell'ambiente indipendente italiano, aprendo per i Katma a Roma nel gennaio 2017 e registrando un disco live con Angelo Pucci (Katma), "Overcoma live at Rome 2017". Dopo aver firmato con la Ciaor Records, il gruppo affronta cambiamenti di formazione e inizia le registrazioni dell'album "Ambrosia", uscito il 19 febbraio 2018. Il tour promozionale di "Ambrosia" li porta in giro per l'Italia (oltre 100 date) fino al giugno 2018, quando vengono selezionati per le finali del Sanremo Rock all'Ariston, classificandosi 60esimi su 150 band. Nel 2019, Salvo Alfieri si trasferisce a Firenze e collabora con Leandro Bruno al basso. Insieme concludono la seconda parte dell'Ambrosia Tour 2019 e partecipano al "Roma Distorta Festival" insieme ai Katma e ai Soul Dragger. Nel maggio 2019, iniziano una collaborazione con Visory Records e Sony Music per le future produzioni, registrando il secondo EP "Gloaming", in uscita a fine ottobre dello stesso anno.
