Francesco De Gregori (Rome, April 4, 1951) is an Italian singer-songwriter considered one of the most important and influential of his generation. Known as "Il Principe Poeta" for the elegance and depth of his lyrics, De Gregori began a successful musical career in the 1970s with albums like "Alice" (1973) and "Bufalo Bill" (1975). His songs, often characterized by melancholic and reflective atmospheres, explore themes such as love, loneliness, identity search and the relationship with society.
