Menervah is a metal band from Cosenza, Italy, active since 2020. The project was born from the meeting of Tony Prince, guitarist and composer formerly of ViolHate (thrash/death metal) and Isaz Corp (gothic rock), and Umberto Russo, drummer formerly of Madness Lane. After several lineup changes, the final formation includes Antonio Orrico (vocals, formerly of Monkeys of tomorrow, Synchronoise and Incroci), Luca Valentino (keyboards, Cambio - Swiss progressive rock band), Luca Bruno (rhythm guitar, formerly of Skeggie di follia) and Mattia Bazzarelli (bass). The band's name derives from Minerva, the Roman goddess of loyalty, heroic virtues, just war, and wisdom. Menervah's music is characterized by metal sounds influenced by Tony Prince's creative flair, with introspective lyrics that address themes such as discomfort, suffering, and fantasy. Luca Valentino's progressive keyboards create a unique atmosphere in the genre, while the vocal lines, written by Umberto Russo, Antonio Orrico and Tony Prince, feature alternative and post-grunge influences. Currently, Menervah is dedicated to recording and mixing their debut album.
