Biografia

Federica Caroppa is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Manduria (Taranto) on August 30, 1993. She began singing at the age of four, participating in numerous local competitions from a young age. In 1999, at just six years old, she won the "Verdi Note" Song Contest with a song from the Zecchino d'Oro, repeating her success the following year. In 2001, she entered the youth category thanks to her consecutive victories and placed third. Meanwhile, she discovered the world of folk music, forming an ethno-folk group with whom she performed in Puglia. She deepened this sector with workshops and masterclasses on polyphony, including those with Lucilla Galeazzi and Elena Ledda at the "Notte della Taranta". In 2007, she founded the group "TARANTAMIX world-music-folk-band", of which she is the sole female voice. With this group, she recorded the album "Alkìmie Salentine", produced by Phonotype Records of Naples, which achieved considerable success. Over the years, she has collaborated with artists such as Anna Tatangelo, Paola and Chiara, Linda, I Vernice and Francesco Facchinetti. In 2010, she began working with maestro Michele Marmo, recording a song for SANREMO GIOVANI and collaborating on her single "L'UNICA RISPOSTA PER ME". In 2011, she was chosen by the Province of Taranto as the representative for singing in the "D.O.N.O. -YOUNG TALENTS IN TERRA JONICA" project, winning participation in an empowerment program with personalities from the music and entertainment world. Since 2011, she has been collaborating with MORAMORA PRODUCTIONS of New York, recording new musical works.
