You're looking for something to do and something to be
Look to your heroes and buy that romantic junkie fantasy
You see some glory in their wasted lives
You need some purpose to waste your time
Put a needle in your vein
To fill that void and kill that pain
You're trying so hard to hide
Junkie with your arms scarred
Thinking that your life's so hard
But junkie, you life is no big deal
It's just that it's so sad to see
You so caught up in your own misery
You waste your mind to waste your time
Turns out one day all your money's gone (break down)
And you lie to your friends when they ask what is wrong
I wonder where everyone went
Their friends lost and their savings spent
The youthful generation that fucked up then
I don't want to see it happen again
Looking for identity or just a crutch (move on)
Choose something else or shoot it up
Addicted too much
Crimpshrine was a punk rock band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1982 by Aaron Cometbus, founder of the seminal punk rock zine Cometbus, and his friend Jeff Ott, the group quickly gained a following within DIY communities. Considered one of the most important punk bands, especially in the Bay Area scene, Crimpshrine is known for its raw and powerful music, influenced by bands like Black Flag and The Minutemen. Their sound is characterized by distorted guitar riffs, aggressive drums, and political and introspective lyrics. Among their most representative songs are "The Last Time", "I Don't Care" and "No More Heroes". Crimpshrine released several vinyl albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1984 and the follow-up "Live at the Gilman Street Project" in 1985. The band disbanded in 1987, but its influence on the punk landscape remains evident.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
