Biografia

Estrels is a twenty-two-year-old singer-songwriter from Rome, born in São Paulo, Brazil, in July 2001. After a short period in Rio de Janeiro, she moved to Rome permanently in 2006. Her stage name comes from the Portuguese translation of her real name, Stella. From a young age, she was drawn to music, falling in love with it definitively at the age of eight after listening to Evanescence and Skillet. She learned English by translating the lyrics of the songs she loved and started playing the piano for three years. Her musical education was enriched by learning to play the guitar autodidactically around the age of twelve. Influenced by artists like The Fray, Green Day, Coldplay, and Linkin Park, Estrels began writing songs around fifteen while attending high school. In 2022, she collaborated with musicians KO m.p.a., releasing her first singles "Bones" and "Left Out". Initially influenced by country and folk, her music evolved towards an indie/pop sound. After performing in the emerging Roman music scene, in 2023 she released two independent singles produced by KO. While English is the predominant language in her lyrics, she also writes in Italian and Portuguese. In late 2022, there was a shift in her original compositions and creative process. Between September 2022 and September 2023, Estrels wrote almost sixty songs rooted in indie/folk, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her artistic project. In December 2024, the single "marble" was released, anticipating the album "the song of the sirens", which arrived on January 31, 2025, preceded by the single "destination".
