Sentieri Selvaggi is an Italian contemporary music ensemble founded in 1997 by Carlo Boccadoro, Filippo Del Corno and Angelo Miotto. The group's aim is to bring contemporary music to a wider audience through informal concerts featuring spoken introductions to each piece. Sentieri Selvaggi has collaborated with international composers such as David Lang, Louis Andriessen, James MacMillan, Philip Glass, Gavin Bryars and Michael Nyman, performing their works or giving the first Italian performances of their pieces. The group also promotes a new generation of Italian composers like Carlo Boccadoro, Francesco Antonioni, Silvia Colasanti, Giovanni Mancuso, Mauro Montalbetti and Giovanni Verrando. Sentieri Selvaggi is a regular guest at Italy's most prestigious music festivals (Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro alla Scala, Venice Biennale) and international festivals (Bang on a Can Marathon in New York, SKIF Festival in St. Petersburg, Sacrum Profanum in Krakow). Since 1998, it has collaborated with Teatridithalia in Milan, hosting concerts at their theatre venues. In 2009, it became the resident ensemble at Teatro Elfo Puccini. The group is also known for its collaborations with writers, architects, scientists and artists from other genres, spreading contemporary music in unusual settings. Sentieri Selvaggi's discography includes over 10 albums released by various labels, including Cantaloupe Music and Deutsche Grammophon. The group has also produced musical theatre productions such as Michael Nyman's 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat' and Philip Glass's 'The Sound of a Voice'.
