Gli studi teatrali, e l'influenza dichiarata di Giorgio Gaber e Sandro Luporini, lo portano nel 2017 a firmare le musiche per diverse produzioni di teatro-canzone. Nel 2020 decide di imprimere un ritmo costante alle uscite discografiche: arrivano singoli, fino al primo album breve "Esco, vago, torno", cui seguono ulteriori pubblicazioni. Nel 2025 affianca alla scrittura musicale la narrativa, con il racconto "Balera", incluso nella raccolta "I segreti dell'Emilia-Romagna". Rigo scrive come si annota a margine di un quaderno: senza didascalie, con un senso della misura che preferisce mostrare invece di dichiarare, e con la convinzione che la musica sia un modo per fare ordine nel caos, non per arredarlo.
