Per l'amore in divisa vivesti la tua vita di vergogna;
quell'amore perduto
Valentina Mattarozzi is an Italian singer-songwriter, musician, and actress from Bologna. She began studying classical dance at the age of six and piano at fourteen, dedicating herself to musical composition shortly after. After attending the Conservatorio Martini in Bologna and the Frescobaldi in Ferrara, where she specialized in operatic singing, her artistic curiosity led her to explore various musical genres, from pop to rock, blues to fusion. Although jazz remains her primary source of inspiration, her music is characterized by a eclectic blend of influences. Valentina collaborates with numerous artists from Bologna, including Annibale Modoni, Teo Ciavarella, Felice Del Gaudio, Carlo Atti and Lele Barbieri. Since 2013 she has been the vocalist for the Doctor Dixie jazz band, which has collaborated with artists such as Gerry Mullighan, Lucio Dalla, Pupi Avati and Renzo Arbore. In addition to music, Valentina is also involved in theater, performing roles in shows like "Lady Day - Tribute to Billie Holiday" and "Ladies sing the blues". She also writes theatrical texts, debuting with the show "Io sono Billie", centered on the life of Billie Holiday. In 2014 she released her first album of original songs, "Vally Doo", which entered national radio charts. In 2017 she released the album "I am Billie - Tribute to Billie Holiday", receiving praise from the renowned vocal jazz group "The Manhattan Transfer". She continues to perform in Italy and abroad, participating in initiatives such as #jazzadomicilio during the 2020 lockdown. In 2021 she released new tracks like "Fragili", "Nostalgie" and "L'amore perduto", which will be included in her new album due out in May.

Do we want to define "I know you know me" a masterpiece? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt for at least two reasons. The first and most evident are the artists who interpret it: Caroline Spence and Matt Berninger, second for the deep and poetic text.
My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
Sweden and the United States are two countries far from each other, thousands of kilometers separate them, the language, culinary and sporting traditions, I don't feel so categorical about the landscapes, not knowing all of America there may be states that have the same reliefs of the country of northern Europe, but on one thing I am sure
