Valentina Mattarozzi è una cantautrice, musicista e attrice italiana di origine bolognese. Inizia a studiare danza classica all'età di sei anni e pianoforte a quattordici, dedicandosi alla composizione musicale poco dopo. Dopo aver frequentato il Conservatorio Martini di Bologna e il Frescobaldi di Ferrara, dove si specializza in canto lirico, la sua curiosità artistica la porta ad esplorare diversi generi musicali, dal pop al rock, dal blues alla fusion. Sebbene il jazz rimanga la sua principale fonte d'ispirazione, la sua musica è caratterizzata da una fusione eclettica di influenze. Valentina collabora con numerosi artisti bolognesi tra cui Annibale Modoni, Teo Ciavarella, Felice Del Gaudio, Carlo Atti e Lele Barbieri. Dal 2013 è vocalist della Doctor Dixie jazz band, che ha collaborato con artisti del calibro di Gerry Mullighan, Lucio Dalla, Pupi Avati e Renzo Arbore. Oltre alla musica, Valentina si dedica anche al teatro, interpretando ruoli in spettacoli come "Lady Day - Omaggio a Billie Holiday" e "Ladies sing the blues". Scrive anche testi teatrali, debuttando con lo spettacolo "Io sono Billie", incentrato sulla vita di Billie Holiday. Nel 2014 pubblica il suo primo album di inediti "Vally Doo", che entra nelle classifiche radiofoniche nazionali. Nel 2017 pubblica l'album "I am Billie - Tribute to Billie Holiday", ricevendo i complimenti del gruppo vocal jazz "The Manhattan Transfer". Continua a esibirsi in Italia e all'estero, partecipando anche ad iniziative come #jazzadomicilio durante il lockdown del 2020. Nel 2021 pubblica nuovi brani come "Fragili", "Nostalgie" e "L'amore perduto", che saranno inclusi nel suo nuovo album in uscita a maggio.
