William Rory Gallagher (1948-1995) was an Irish guitarist, singer, and songwriter considered one of the greatest rock musicians of his time. Born in Ballyshannon, Ireland, Rory began playing guitar at age 14, influenced by artists like Muddy Waters and Eric Clapton. In 1967 he formed Taste, a blues-rock band that achieved great success in Europe.
